Machine Learning

This research area carries out research in the field of bioinformatics with the aim to develop models of biological systems that enable us to understand how they work and provide ideas for the construction of artificial systems that mimic their behaviour. In particular, the following aspects will be considered: The development of machine learning methods, able to extract information from biological data in the form of intelligible rules that describe the underlying phenomenon. Creation, implementation and testing of mathematical and cognitive models for the comprehension of mechanisms in the “growing up” process. design, development and distributed testing system for multi-agent robotic systems which operate in partially structured environments. Development of analysis and qualitative simulation methods of dynamic models of cell regulation networks, that combine the results of the classical theory of qualitative analysis of dynamic systems with artificial intelligence techniques for the treatment of incomplete knowledge.
